Hedgerow flowers, seed heads, pods and dried flowers inspire many of my pieces of textile and mixed media work including the natural environment around me and where I live. The 2D flowers in the piece of work above are formed out of Indian Sari offcuts, with vintage lace from my grandma’s lace box, the honesty seed heads are made from a donated wedding dress and which I hand-embroidered over free machine embroidery and embellished with shell buttons and hand beadwork. 

I only work with vintage, recycled and found resources that I repurpose and give new life to in every piece of my textile work. My work is always embellished with hand embroidery, lace, ribbons, beading and vintage buttons.

From my handmade textile work I go on to design greeting cards, glass coasters, handbag mirrors, pocket journals, bone china mugs, fridge magnets, wrapping paper and beautiful linen and silk women’s scarves, shawls and snoods all available from the beautiful artists gift shop, Wonderfully Made, 26 Halifax Road, Todmorden.

I design A6 pocket journal covers with watercolour paper inside so artists can enjoy one of my pocket journals whilst out on a day trip or on holiday or you can just use the very beautiful journal for notes.

Some of my textile pieces have been designed into bespoke fabric which I then go on to make one-off limited edition lampshades, diffuser and vase wraps which are embellished with vintage lace and button, again available at Wonderfully Made.
